A lucky combination of events made it possible for two shores to surprise each other on the coast south of Granada(Spain)
The coast of Málaga of the singer Pepa Niebla and the coast of Barcelona of the pianist Ignasi Terraza.
From that moment on, their respective languages, began to understand each other and it will be embodied in a sonorous encounter in an amalgam of intercultural emotions, moved by the mutual search for elegant and timeless melodies, giving birth to the common creation of a repertoire filled with both beauty and timelessness.
“En la Orilla del Mundo” turns out to be a tribute to the memory of the soundscape that drew the charm of an era portrayed through great compositions such as Martín Rojas’ own, giving title to this project, or the windmills of the French composer Michel Legrand, among many others. An incursion along those shores, which today more than ever, are very much missed.
